Diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma when she was 13, Olivia Fischer is entering Grade 11 this year. The survival rate for this disease is now over 90 percent.

Since 2000, Cash & Cars Lottery proceeds have supported Alberta’s two largest cancer-fighting organizations: the Alberta Cancer Foundation and the Canadian Cancer Society, Alberta/NWT Division. To date, ticket buyers like you have helped raise $18 million, opening doors to the discovery of preventative measures, life-saving treatments and medical advances that translate into better support services and treatments across Alberta.

This year alone, 45,000 Albertans will undergo cancer treatment. You may know some of these brave individuals personally – they could be co-workers, friends, a parent or child. The good news is the survival rate is the highest it’s ever been at 62 percent. But when someone you love is diagnosed with cancer, a 62 percent chance of surviving is still far from comforting.

We promise not to quit until we’ve made that number 100 percent.

Each Cash & Cars Lottery ticket you purchase speaks to your passion, drive and ongoing commitment to finding cures.

Thanks to research, innovations in treatment, and the strength and support of her husband, Pat Davis is now a five year survivor of endometrial cancer.
